Suitable for throttling and on/off duties for steam, water, air and for non-corrosive oil and gas within the P/T parameters shown.

The valves are manufactured to BS 5152 and also meet the requirements of MSS-SP-85. Flanges conform to BS 1560 Section 3.2/ANSI B16.1 Class 125 and are normally supplied drilled.

Valves are back seated. It is recommended that the backseat should be used to establish the fully open position.
For operation in the open position the stem should then be backed off from the backseat. This means that the preformed non-asbestos stem packing may function on its own.

In the event of leakage via the stem packing the backseat may be used until the packing can be replaced.
It would be extremely dangerous to renew the stem packing when the valve is under pressure with a hazardous product or extreme pressure/temperatures.

In such cases the system should be shut down for replacement of packing. Outside Screw and Yoke Angel disc.
